In Fiji, an applicant for trademark registration has to declare an intention to use the trademark. Proof-of-use may be required in the course of the application process under certain circumstances (see CI). A new Trade Marks Act 2021 was published on August 20, 2021. It will replace the old law. However, it has not yet entered into force.
